The yari is a traditional Japanese spear used by samurai and infantry soldiers in feudal Japan. It became widely used during the Sengoku period (15th–16th century), when large-scale battles required weapons with longer reach and effective thrusting capability. With its straight blade and long shaft, the yari was an important battlefield weapon and later became a symbol of Japanese martial tradition.

This yari is designed as a functional reproduction inspired by traditional Japanese spear design while maintaining practicality and durability.

  • Blade Material: Hand-forged T10 high-carbon steel/folded steel

  • Blade Length: 25 cm (approximately 9.8 inches)

  • Heat Treatment: Traditional clay tempering (differential hardening), producing a hardened edge and visible hamon

  • Shaft Length: 200 cm (approximately 78.7 inches)

  • The shaft is made of wood, it is divided into three sections, making transportation and storage more convenient, each sections are joined using steel fittings with threaded connections, ensuring secure assembly and durability

This yari combines traditional aesthetics with practical construction, making it suitable for collectors, martial arts enthusiasts, and those interested in Japanese historical weapon.
