The Orchid Katana and Wakizashi blade are forged and folded using T10 steel. the midare(irregular) hamon produced using traditional clay tempered method. the hamon and folded hada(pattern) quite prominent and attractive after hand mirror polished. The fittings feature a orchid motif and it is made out of solid brass. the tsuka wraped with artificial silk brown ito and authentic rayskin inlay. The saya is finished in matte black lacquer and rayskin wrapped on top of saya. koiguchi, kurigata and kojiri use buffalo horn.
